GEMSTONES
Basic info
Upon acceptance into the game, all characters will find a gemstone on their person, the appearance of which will be specified in the app.
All gemstones must:
Otherwise, the shape, design, and severity of damage is entirely up to the player.
When two characters' gemstones touch, both characters will feel a slight warmth spread throughout their bodies. If a character's gemstone is damaged, they will experience anything from emotional pain for minor damage such as scratches up to memory loss for severe damage, at player discretion. A stone damaged beyond repair is equivalent to death.

All gemstones must:

Timeline of changes
Upon acceptance: all gemstones are damaged in some way, specified in the app
November 2022: all current characters' gemstones appear to have an extra chip in it, its edges marred black
December 2022: characters who optionally regained a false memory will find their gemstone partially restored with clear stone; gemstones that were chipped the previous month will retain the black edges
January 2023: for the month, the colors of people's gemstones seem brighter, and as a consequence emotions are more keenly felt and influenced
November 2022: all current characters' gemstones appear to have an extra chip in it, its edges marred black
December 2022: characters who optionally regained a false memory will find their gemstone partially restored with clear stone; gemstones that were chipped the previous month will retain the black edges
