BONUS AC

AC for the current month must be completed before requesting bonuses for that month. For new characters, AC must be submitted in lieu of the check in.

Each bonus is submitted as a bundle of three threads, which cannot be used for AC and must have a minimum of five comments from you. Threads have no expiration date and can be banked for the future, but each character is restricted to five bonuses each calendar month.

Bonuses must have an impact on the character, which can be as simple as a favorite food, or as poignant as a memento from a loved one. They cannot be a living creature. Bonuses can be common items (such as food, clothing, and tools) which are ICly requested by the character, or canon specific items (owned by the character) which are OOCly requested. Once general NPCs are unlocked, characters will ICly submit requests to the town head, who will work to acquire resources either from within the town or to be imported via train. Canon specific items will appear in a variety of ways.

[ When you only get a packet of Splenda there is nothing splendid about it. It is only a packet of sadness. He's come to understand this.

However, he does raise it rather theatrically toward the sky, after unwrapping the fabric. From an outsider's perspective, if they have never used a sword before, it maybe looks like he knows what he's doing. ]

Mm. There is someone who has promised to help teach me how to use one. I am known as a Knight back home, among my fellow idols, but in a true battle, I do not yet possess the skills to properly protect myself or others should anything get too near.

[ He lifts a hand up to his chest. ]

With the many dangers we face in this land, I would like to learn how to protect what is precious to me.

[ Lark's gaze lowers to the ground, where— as far as he's concerned, since he doesn't bother with the island— the most recent danger any of them have come across is the skeletons buried underneath the fields. Good luck stabbing the dead, Tsukasa Suou. ]

And what is it... that is precious to you?

[ Said readily enough. Simply. He may have trouble calling someone a friend, but since his arrival, he has undoubtedly made at least a few. ]

My cousin, my unitmates, my fellow idols from home. I do not wish to see any of them brought to harm again.

...I see.

[ Good luck with that!! he'd have more success closing his eyes than wielding a sword if he doesn't want to see his friends hurt, but Lark knows better than to suggest it to somebody holding said sword. ]

There are dangers that cannot be physically fought, but I am sure you are already aware. I hope it goes well.

[ . . . Well. He believes that. Everything he is seeing on the island, well... a sword isn't going to help anyone. ]

How would you protect someone within this place?

[ His brows knit, glancing up at him as he speaks. ]

I don't possess any powers, like so many others here. I thought to ask around a little, about how one can even acquire such a thing, but... [ He shakes his head.]

Everyone has said it is impossible. That you must be born with it. There are the hounds though, and whatever happened with the rain. Then on the island, it's completely falling apart. I just want the strength to see my cousin and my friends home.

[ "How would you protect someone" Lark got beat up and knocked unconscious trying to do that, you're asking the wrong person, buddy. ]

Perhaps you are simply not aware of what power you possess. I was not, until I was around your age.

[ As it is, he feels completely helpless despite trying his best.]

Perhaps you need to be in a situation for your power to manifest. Like facing down a bear.

And you believe I would gain some sort of strength? No one else from my world possesses power though.

[ Yes, he has to face down a bear now. ]

You believe people are hiding it? Or that no one has realized their strength?

It could be either, can it not?

[ More of the latter, he thinks, but there are people doing a pretty bad job of acting normal. Look at you all, none of you guys are normal. ]

If you merely wish to satisfy your own curiosity, I must decline. You would not want to emulate the circumstances.

[ Nng. But... he wants to know. Perhaps it isn't his business. But he can't just tease him with the power to become a magical boy with such important information... ]

[ Grasping for anything here. ]

Please understand. I am in a rush to learn how to better protect the people important to me.

[ He is truly willing to do whatever it takes if it means he can protect his cousin and unit.]

I realize that may seem selfish, but I would do anything to safely see them through the obstacles we have already faced. I desire the power to accomplish that. At least give me a hint? Or is it truly that the only method is to face some sort of great danger?

There is no mountain I would not cross if it meant I could see everyone home.
