BONUS AC

AC for the current month must be completed before requesting bonuses for that month. For new characters, AC must be submitted in lieu of the check in.

Each bonus is submitted as a bundle of three threads, which cannot be used for AC and must have a minimum of five comments from you. Threads have no expiration date and can be banked for the future, but each character is restricted to five bonuses each calendar month.

Bonuses must have an impact on the character, which can be as simple as a favorite food, or as poignant as a memento from a loved one. They cannot be a living creature. Bonuses can be common items (such as food, clothing, and tools) which are ICly requested by the character, or canon specific items (owned by the character) which are OOCly requested. Once general NPCs are unlocked, characters will ICly submit requests to the town head, who will work to acquire resources either from within the town or to be imported via train. Canon specific items will appear in a variety of ways.

Nah. Pretty sure it's the tooth from some great beast, and definitely not a dragon. If that were the case, I think the Housewarden from Diasomnia would be pretty upset.

I don't use that end as a weapon. Don't need to, when I can rely on magic.

[ Oh. He looks a little disappointed that it's not a dragon's tooth, but is curious as to what other great beast would have a tooth that size. Maybe one of the bears in the forest. ]

Is this not a polearm? Why would you need such a weapon, when you have magic?

[ well, does it hurt to explain? probably not. what's a courier going to do him, huh??? be late? leave a 'sorry we missed you' postcard in the mailbox when he never leaves home??? ]

'cause this is a focus. Lets me cast more and not worry about the side effects. This staff has been by my side ever since... forever.

[ a beat, then: ]

[ The perplexed expression on his face sort of waxes and wanes, unsure whether he knows the word "focus" as used in this context, but understanding the importance of an object that is considered an heirloom. ]

...I see. An heirloom is a powerful object. You hold the support of generations, and they give you strength.

[ ... He looks up at Leona. Is it something like that? ]

[ he's not here to put years of family problems on lark's shoulders. a slight turn of his head and shrug, and leona hums to himself. ]

Yeah. Might be the best way of puttin' it.

[ the beastman frowns. ]

So am I supposed to tip ya or somethin'? I don't have anythin' on me to give to you.

No. [ He's quick to refuse tips, taking a half step backwards for good measure. ]

This is my job. You need not give me anything, unless it is something you need delivered.

Somethin' I need delivered... what if I wanted you to deliver somethin' to yourself.

[ there has to be a workaround. right? leona's tail flicks behind him as he leans on his staff, narrowing his eyes... ]

That is not how it works.

[ Then, it'd be Leona delivering something to Lark, and Lark himself doing none of the delivering. ]

As you say, you have nothing to give me anyways. You need not bother.

[ allow him to smirk. ]

Right now, no.

[ it doesn't take much effort for leona to press his hands together. as he pulls them away, the top half of a pink carnation appears from nowhere. ]

How 'bout this? Not even a temporary flower for your troubles?

[ Wha- Lark startles, looking up in surprise, lifting his hands despite himself to cup them in order to receive the flower. ]

How did you...?

[ """Magic""" he knows, but no matter how many times he sees such fantastical feat, it never fails to awe. ]

It's not that big a deal.

[ because it's not. using his magic to make something small is fine. it doesn't stretch or stress him out. ]

Won't last forever. Maybe a few days at best, but then it'll just disappear. Doesn't need water or anythin'.

[ he grins. ]

You that surprised? This is nothin' compared to everythin' else that's been going on.

[ The magic around here? blood rain and hell hounds and raising the dead, it's power meant for destruction. ]

Well it's not somethin' I do every day.

[ or can, for that matter. maybe one flower for one person every so often, but it will always fade from existence. he just can't keep his focus up for that long. ]
