BONUS AC
AC for the current month must be completed before requesting bonuses for that month. For new characters, AC must be submitted in lieu of the check in.
Each bonus is submitted as a bundle of three threads, which cannot be used for AC and must have a minimum of five comments from you. Threads have no expiration date and can be banked for the future, but each character is restricted to five bonuses each calendar month.
Bonuses must have an impact on the character, which can be as simple as a favorite food, or as poignant as a memento from a loved one. They cannot be a living creature. Bonuses can be common items (such as food, clothing, and tools) which are ICly requested by the character, or canon specific items (owned by the character) which are OOCly requested. Once general NPCs are unlocked, characters will ICly submit requests to the town head, who will work to acquire resources either from within the town or to be imported via train. Canon specific items will appear in a variety of ways.

good as kindling huh Lark???? No I know you're a good boy
..oh, I love this play. [ The attitude from earlier has softened. He already has a billion questions, but.. ehh. Trying to answer a billion questions too fast got him put in the torment rock once this week already. ] This is too thick to be just the script, though--
[ He gives it a quick flip through, treating Lark to something that looks a lot like an illuminated manuscript, but for a theatre production. Prop references, a foreword talking about the playwright's life, dossiers for each role--
He stops, by accident, on the page for the role of Zidane.
Loyal, a romantic. A clever duelist that ought to be played only by the nimble and skilled.
And yet he wasn't the lead. ]
...I'll have Phil make a copy of this for the library, for certain. It would be a waste to hoard this to myself.
allegedly
It is... a rulebook...?
[ A play? play as in a game? that's a super thick rulebook. looks like it'd be good as kindling. ]
lark do you. do you need glasses. lark do we need to go down to the walmart for reading glasses
Don't tell Judai I said that.[ He riffles carefully back through the pages, trying to find something good to point to, to establish that this is quality theatre. He lands on a reference page, for a centuries-traditional design for Princess Cornelia's costume in her death scene. He tilts the book a bit, and lifts it closer to Lark. ]
See, this is one of the costumes. It's a play-- rather, a stage show. Most of the words are telling the people performing in it what to say. You've attended one before, surely?
lark w glasses is just better at being illiterate
Not... written down like this. Sometimes people make a spectacle of themselves, and others gather to watch.
[ Like statue!Kuja. That's about the closest thing he can think of, but nothing directed. ]
illiterate AND a megane
[ He's a spectacle every day of his life, Lark, you'll have to be specific. ]
no subject
They are coming back.
[ THEY ARE he just doesn't know when. They have to come back, don't leave him here alone with these people. ]
i. lost this notif. whaddya lark they DO still exist. color him surprised
But it doesn't change the fact that any life left unremarked is just - ephemera!
[ he has very deep personal feelings about this. ]
So -- so we'll all just have to do better around here. It's not that hard.
ha! vindication.
[ That's a bit too much attention for his comfort, not saying anything about just how many lives are like a spring breeze: soft and brief, a comfort and then nothing. Ephemera. Is that such a bad thing, though? ]
kuja why do you make EVERY conversation into this
[ you've been in that graveyard, kuja. ]
.... .. ... ..
..so maybe that's just what you people do here. That's.. I can't claim to understand that perspective at all. Of course I'd like to be in a history book, especially when the alternative is no one in a few years knows anything about me at all.
[ interesting word choice on the number of years, kuja. he'd thought the words, 'few hundred years' -- but unintentional honestly slipped off his tongue without him registering. ]
