Age: Supposedly 18, but actual age is unknown, with guesses ranging from 19 to 30.
Summary: HiMERU is a modern Japanese idol shrouded in mystery with the curious tendency to speak in third-person, but nonetheless a consummate professional. He does not strive for perfection; he delivers it, unquestionably. He prides himself on his cool and composed demeanor both on and off stage, always happy to indulge his fans but becoming more aloof once out of the limelight, proving to have an occasionally sharp tongue with certain fellow idols. While HiMERU had debuted as a solo idol in Reimei Academy two years prior, an incident at the school forced him into a hiatus, and he has since made his comeback with a new unit of "troublemakers" known as Crazy:B.
However, HiMERU holds a grave secret: He is not the "true" HiMERU. HiMERU was the stage name of his younger half-brother Kaname Toujou, who had been a victim in Tatsumi Kazehaya's failed revolution at Reimei Academy and fell into a coma. In order to achieve his most precious person's dream, the older Toujou brother (given name undisclosed) took up the mantle of HiMERU and decided to continue idol activities in Kaname's place until he wakes from his slumber. Only about a handful of other idols know or suspect he is not who he claims to be, but even those who had known Kaname personally back at Reimei seem to be fooled easily enough.
Powers/abilities: HiMERU is definitely a regular human, despite the fact he is occasionally compared to a robot for his perfection and repetition. As is such, he does not have any supernatural or superhuman powers, but he does boast a high intellect (allegedly having skipped grades and already acquired a college degree), as well as keen observation skills, an analytical mind, and a specialty in deduction. Aside from his talent in playing detective, HiMERU excels in disguise and deception due to extensive training and experience, which assists in both his acting career as an idol, and with his life as "HiMERU," which is a role he never lets up on, and a character he will never break.
Inventory: Just the clothes on his back and his cell phone.
OTHER
Gemstone: A gem cut into a square shape with rounded corners. Cornflower blue is its primary color, with golden flecks scattered within the gem as its secondary color. While the outside surface appears unscathed, a thin fissure runs through the very center, as though it could split the gem cleanly in half from the inside-out. Though its edges are smooth, its sparkle is rather dull, and could stand to be polished.
Lost memory #1: His life before the Reimei Revolution. Disillusioned and tired of living, he had willingly discarded all of this after finding purpose in Kaname, so it wouldn't change much of anything with that completely and officially gone, except...
Lost memory #2: He also forgets Kaname. Despite only becoming aware of his half-brother's existence later in life, Kaname easily became the most important person to him and his only family, giving the world meaning again and making life worth living. With Kaname gone from his memories but everything about "HiMERU" remaining, he will be conflating Kaname's story for his own and genuinely believe himself to be Kaname Toujou.
Altered memory: During the Reimei Revolution, Kaname and Tatsumi were both attacked on stage while the older Toujou brother could only watch from the audience, unable to warn or reach his brother in time. This is the beginning of his regret in failing to understand Kaname, and also his deep hate for Tatsumi, who he blames for leading his brother astray and bringing him to a cruel end. The alteration here is that instead of both Kaname and Tatsumi being injured and hospitalized, HiMERU will remember Tatsumi as getting out unharmed and with a smile. Not only does this increase his resent of the so-called revolutionary, but it paints a malicious image of Tatsumi that will cause HiMERU to doubt Tatsumi's character and make him exceedingly wary of the other, if not outright fearful.
